A few questions which are likely to click on your head.

1. I did apply to some companies for PT, how do I know I have been accepted or not?
2. I didn't get any place to undertake PT, what do I do?
3. How do I get in touch with university supervisors for assessment?

SOME ANSWERS

In response to qn. 1: The companies usually respond by letter to the university whether they have accepted you or not for PT placement. Sometimes they communicate to you directly. But you can't wait for the latter indefinitely, take a step communicate with the university to get assured and think of other options if you haven't been accepted. However, we already have some responses from companies and we are preparing a complete list of that which will be send to you.

If you have received a response from the company you applied to and they are ready to accommodate you, it is important that you let us know.

In response to qn. 2: Just communicate with us, we can find a way to ensure you don't miss PT. Some companies need many students for PT and sometimes gaps are there to be filled. So let us know your status and we will see how to work on that.

In response to qn. 3: We have contacts of all of you. If you didn't provide your details make sure you do that immediately. Simply go to pt-ict.blogspot.com and enter the necessary information. Supervisors will have your contacts, therefore make sure you provide current mobile phone number and visit this blog and your email accounts as many times as possible.

ALWAYS if you have any query don't hesitate to email us or comment on the posts on this blog or on the group email which you are also part of.

MUST HAVE DOCUMENTS

Each student is required to have important university documents necessary for PT. Those documents are as listed below.

1. Arrival Note
2. Daily Logbook
3. Weekly Logbook
4. Company Supervisor Assessment Form

The arrival note is meant for letting us know that you have reported at your placement and that the host company has accepted and positioned you.

The logbooks is for recording all tasks you are assigned by the company supervisor. A few details can be added on the logbooks explaining the nature of tasks. The logbooks will eventually help you prepare your PT report. The reports are prepared based on what you were doing during the practical period. Some students write poor reports because they don't follow the logbooks.

The company supervisor assessment form is to be relayed to the company  supervisor who will assess you and provide us with how better you have been involved in the tasks assigned. The assessment is crucial for your final PT results. The form must be mailed to the university directly or if send to us indirectly it must be in sealed envelope with company stamp on it if possible.

Therefore, you should make sure you are in possession of those documents.

Student Details

Dear Students,

For the sake of easy communication and better handling of PT which is to commence next month, your details are needed. The main information needed is your name, program of study, phone number and email address. The phone number will be used by university supervisors to reach you when the supervision time comes. The emails are needed for creating a special group email to enable easy communication between the coordinators and you (students).

Therefore, you are required to provide those details to us as soon as possible. It would be better if this is done before going for the holiday.
